Leadership

OUR ELDERS

JT Dick

JT moved to Denton from Springfield, MO in the summer of 2022 to become the Lead Pastor of C3. He is married to Kali, and together they are proud parents to Ezra, Sable, and Atlas. For fun, their family loves to spend time exploring the outdoors: hiking, camping, backpacking, and cycling. They are huge fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, their backyard chickens, and craft coffee. JT has a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is deeply convicted by gospel centrality as it relates to all areas of the Christian life. He desires to see the saints rest in the promises of Scripture, press into community together, be equipped for the ministry of the church, and be mobilized to share the beauty of Jesus to the heart of Denton and beyond.

CODY MCCOMMAS

Cody was raised in Granbury, TX, schooled in Denton, TX, and married in Houston, TX. He returned to Denton as soon as he could, then began attending C3 in 2010 as a non-believer. There he was saved, baptized, and shown the Lord’s incredible love and grace. He is married to Karen, wrapped around the tiny little fingers of their young daughters Eliza & Veronica, and always psyched to talk about adoption and foster care. Spare time includes fire pits, cookery, board games, crawfish and having a regular mustache & unmemorable beard.

BRYAN BLASKOWSKY (on sabbatical)

Bryan was raised in a number of small towns throughout Texas. Denton has been his home since 1992. He was adopted in high school by a Jesus-loving family in East Texas and was soon overwhelmed by the love and redemption of His Savior. Bryan attended UNT in Denton where he met, fell in love with, and married his college sweetheart, Sarah. He eventually received his BBA at UNT in Logistics and his MBA at SMU in Strategic Leadership. Together, he and Sarah have two wonderful kiddos and an impossibly busy schedule. Bryan loves science fiction, reads sailing textbooks for fun, and all things guitar-related. He loves everything about old boats and sailing and leads outdoor discipleship-based adventures with Wild Your Life.

Jessica Terrill

Connections Coordinator

Jessica discovered her love for Denton, TX in 2006 when she began her freshman year at UNT. Her love for children’s ministry began years earlier when she was a child, herself. Through the discipleship of her children’s pastors, Jessica’s first leadership role in children’s ministry began when she was 12 years old. She considers her role of connecting people in our church to be a dream come true. Jessica’s other passions include graphic design, anything crafty, and hanging out with her husband, Matt, and three kids, Sawyer, Wesley, and Ava.

Brandon miller

Worship Director

Brandon was raised on a  chicken farm in the Piney Woods near Nacogdoches Texas. He studied Music Education at UNT and currently teaches music at Hodge Elementary in Denton. His wife Molly, who he met when her dad bought his dad’s chicken farm (it’s essentially a Hallmark movie), is the world’s most wonderful human being and works online for Stitch Fix. They were both raised in the way they should go by intentional, godly parents and have not departed from it. By God’s grace they will impart the same to their children Paloma, Gabriel, and Leona. Brandon wants to remind you that, whatever it is, you should probably pray about it.

RYAN LADNER

Pastoral Assistant

Raised in Victoria, Ryan moved to Denton in 2011, and fell in love with the Gospel at C3 Denton. He had heard of the good news of Christ many times before, but when he realized that the Gospel encapsulates every element of life, he couldn’t get enough. Ryan graduated from UNT in 2015, and has since earned an MTS and an MDiv at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a DMin from Liberty University. Ryan is happily married to Katie, with a toddler and another baby on the way.

LIZ THOMAS

Young Adult Leader

Liz was raised primarily in the town of Waxahachie, TX. Saved at the age of 14 she quickly learned how much she can rely on the Lord as He’s shown her time and time again through the blessing of community. Liz came to Denton in 2015 where she attended UNT and received her Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts. Through a testimony of humility she’s come to desire to see God move through the lives of people around her. She continues to seek opportunities to witness such transformations in ministry. Liz is a big Star Wars fan, loves camping, books, and believes tea is way better than coffee.
