OUR ELDERS

Ross Appleton

Ross was born and raised in Denton. While a student at UNT, he fell in love with the Gospel of grace and the local church. After spending a year being discipled by Pastor Tom Nelson at Denton Bible Church, he completed an M.A. in Cross Cultural Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. In the Spring of 2009, God led them to start a church. C3 Denton began in their living room with 7 people in May of that same year. He likes dating his wife, watching movies with his 4 amazing children while falling asleep on the couch, reading theology and science fiction, and talking about the big questions with both believers and skeptics. He is also the author of several life changing books that exist only in his head.

Cody McCommas

Cody was raised in Granbury, TX, schooled in Denton, TX, and married in Houston, TX. He returned to Denton as soon as he could, then began attending C3 in 2010 as a non-believer. There he was saved, baptized, and shown the Lord’s incredible love and grace. He is married to Karen, wrapped around the tiny little finger of their young daughter Eliza, and always psyched to talk about adoption and foster care. Spare time includes fire pits, cookery, board games, crawfish and having a regular mustache & unmemorable beard.

Mark Roberts

Mark is originally from Bryan, TX but has lived in North Texas since 1993. After a long battle with hard drugs and alcoholism, Mark checked in to the Denton Freedom House in January 2009. After being set free by Jesus, he completed the DFH program and in 2012 began serving as the Pastor of DFH until transitioning to C3 in April 2017. Mark works as the Counseling Director of First Refuge Ministries, and serves as an elder at C3. He is joyfully married to Amanda and has two daughters, Clara Rose & Jubilee. Mark loves to skateboard, play basketball, write, and read theology.

Parker Wallace

Parker Wallace has served in several ministry capacities at Christ Community Church, from parish coach to international missions leader, and discipleship training teacher. Parker earned his master’s degree in international ministry from Dallas Baptist University and now loves serving C3 as an elder.
