Other Mother’s Day Project 2023
Mother’s Day can be a very difficult day for foster and adoptive moms. On this day we are reminded that another woman gave birth to the child in our home. On this day our children tend to have heartache and confusion. On this day our children sometimes want to make sure that we know we are not their “REAL” mom. This day is full of brokenness and beauty. This day I will choose to love the children that love me and the children that don’t love me. I will love because God first loved me.
We are working with Hope Local to bring encouraging love to foster and adoptive mothers across north Texas this Mother’s Day. Please follow these simple instructions:
❶ Pick up some cards & write a sweet note for a foster/adopt mom. It doesn’t have to be elaborate and Pulitzer Prize worthy! Use the following scripts, or use them just to get your started:
- Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for being a mom to the children that God has placed in your home. You are brave. You are strong. You can do this!
- Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for being a mom to the children that God has given you. You are making a difference!
- Happy Mother’s Day! Thank you for being a mom to the children God has placed in your home. I know today can be hard but you are called to this and God is with you!
❷ Take a picture of your card, post it on social media to spread the word.

❸ Bring your card back to C3 on May 7th, we’ll stuff them in envelopes and get them to foster and adoptive mothers around the metroplex
