Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)

The CDC is responding to an outbreak of respiratory disease caused by a novel (new) coronavirus that was first detected in China and has now been detected in more than 100 countries, including the United States.

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) characterized coronavirus (abbreviated COVID-19) as a pandemic.

C3 Denton is making changes to match the current realities before us in this strange new world created by COVID-19. These changes are based on the assumption that this virus and its effects aren’t going away in just a few weeks. In the interest of preparation, we think it wisest to retool in order to comply with quarantine and shelter directives for the next 3 months. We would love more than anything to be wrong about the timing, and of course we will reevaluate regularly along the way.

Our New Pastoral Rhythm

We have developed a new schedule of ways that our leaders can continue to be a calming and reassuring presence to our people and community. We now have online versions of some of our previous ministries. We have also added new rhythms so our people can continue to gather even while we are scattered, feeling the power and comfort of the community God has placed us in.

How to Give to C3 & Our Community

Generosity will be crucial as financial needs will continue to increase. While a great number of things have changed, our mission has not: showing the beauty of Jesus to the heart of Denton so that lives can be renewed by the power of the gospel!
