About The Building
102 Maple began as a Safeway grocery store in the 70s, but most people in Denton know it as the former “Rockin Rodeo,” a popular country bar from the 90s and 2000s.
After 10 years of moving around, C3 Denton has finally found a home. 14,000 sq. ft. in the heart of Denton – right where God has called us to be.
We are bringing this warehouse space up to code to fit 300+ people. Help us transform that old
honky-tonk into a worship space!
Raise $300k for the construction and move-in costs. We are asking those within our church to raise $100,000. We are asking our other church and community partners to help us raise $200,000 by August 31st.
Raise $70K for signage, chairs, beautifying the entryway and building exterior, audio equipment, outfitting C3Kids classrooms, and more.
Phase 1 Progress
Update: August 13
We raised $52,466 in giving and commitments on All In Sunday! This is in addition to $35,293 in gifts from people at C3 before All in Sunday, bringing us to a total of $87,759 raised for 102 Maple from all of us that call C3 home. Our internal fundraising goal was $100,000, including $40,000 worth of DIY projects. We SHATTERED through that, our grand total of internal committed and received donations is now $127,759!
Our total remaining for Phase 1 fundraising is $9,300, so we can begin shifting our fundraising focus towards Phase 2.
Update: August 3
A Denton County church has given us a $10,000 gift to match internal fundraising, and the Denton Baptist Association has given us a $1,000 grant!
Update: July 11
We’re very close to finalizing the engineered plans, finishing up meetings with the city, and expect construction to begin soon!
Update: May 22
This past Sunday, people within our church turned in financial commitment cards. In total, we have over $34K committed from our own people!
Update: May 14
We’ve received commitments for another $83K! This brings us to needing $77K from within C3 and $90K from other churches and community partners. The Lord is moving!
Update: May 5
Today we had a BIG party in the building’s parking lot with over 150 adults and children! We ate lunch and played together before going inside to sing a worship song, dedicate the building in prayer, and write scripture and prayers on the walls. We are grateful for the support and donations from our community partners: Frenchy’s Lawn & Tree donated the use of chairs and tables, several C3 partners donated use of their shade canopies and coolers, and a neighbor donated use of their bounce house!
Update: May 1
Over 2 Saturay mornings and several hours during the past couple weeks, volunteers and groups from C3 and our community partners have completed some pre-construction cleanup (carrying out broken tile and carpet)
